I have been working at DFDS for more than 7 years. During this time, my career has evolved from a Junior Accountant position to Team Leader now. DFDS offers various projects and programs through which you can improve your competencies and qualifications within the company. What is so special about this company? Primarily the development opportunities that make the work attractive and dynamic.

My journey with DFDS has started almost 8 years ago as a trainee. During this time, I had the opportunity to work in two different departments, which helped me find the satisfying and interesting career path. Friendly atmosphere is something I really love in DFDS and that is why working here is a pleasure. Working in DFDS it is also connected with challenging projects and tasks, so at the end we get an environment, where learning new skills and improving existing ones is not only a phrase. It's true!

I came to DFDS from an advertising agency, working as a stagehand on film sets and photo shoots. During my interview they asked me why I wanted to switch from such a crazy occupation to one considered rather boring. My response was that I don’t want to work 12 to 16 hours a day anymore 😉 And that’s the truth here – I leave my office work behind me when I switch the computer off. Some friends asked me – “What?! You?! An ACCOUNTANT?! In a grey suit and a grey tie, doing grey work in a grey office? You won’t last two months there!”. Well it was back in January 2017, so I think it’s more colourful in here than people think 😉Started as a Junior with no experience, now I’m a Senior with leadership aspirations. DFDS, my co-workers and internal trainings taught me everything I needed to know to perform my tasks successfully and after some time, start teaching newcomers myself and became a go-to person when others have problems. Besides that, I am taking part in various projects and entered company structures like DFDS Ambassadors, Employee Representatives, Social Fund or Sport Division (where we have a real influence on sport events and sports sections ). Long story short – the atmosphere in DFDS, built by the employees, is certainly making me stay here a little bit longer than the average SSC employee 😉

My journey with DFDS started in 2019 in the Master Data department as an intern in the Quality Team, where I was responsible for database clean-up. Since then, I have been constantly developing and now I am the Master Data Customers process coordinator. It gives me the opportunity to participate in many interesting projects and each day surprises with something new. Working at DFDS Polska, I feel that my actions affect the entire DFDS group and that each employee is of great importance.
